Belle Meade Bourbon was one of about 30 different labels that Charles Nelson produced in the late 1800’s. It differed from most of his other products in that it was produced in conjunction with a third party, Sperry Wade & Company of Nashville, TN.

Nose: Fruit forward with a noticeable scent of apple, Soft buttery toffee.

Palate: Dark fruit, Vanilla, Baking spices.

Finish: peppery spice with lovely notes of cherry and caramel.

Distillery Information

In 2006, when Andy and Charlie Nelson drove to a small town in Tennessee to see a butcher, what they found was their destiny. In passing, the two mentioned stories they’d heard about their family’s whiskey business. The butcher, located on Distillery Road, pointed them to the local historian, who proudly showed them two perfectly preserved bottles of Nelson’s Green Brier Tennessee Whiskey produced by their great-great-great grandfather. Time stood still and from that moment on, the brothers have dedicated their lives to resurrecting their ancestor’s top-quality whiskey appreciated by aficionados everywhere.
