This single cask comes to us from family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Specially selected and bottled for the Heritage series in the Platinum Old & Rare Selection, this expression was distilled at Bowmore in Islay in 1989. Matured for three full decades, it has been bottled at a natural cask strength of 48.1% abv free from all chill filtration and artificial colouring. Just 192 bottles have been produced of this limited edition.

Nose: This medium gold whisky has a nose of Islay peat smoke, leather and sea salt.
Palate: The palate is peaty with notes of lychee, mango, vanilla, and malt.
Finish: The finish is long and clean, with hints of coal smoke.
Distillery Information
Bowmore is a distillery that produces scotch whisky on the isle of Islay, an island of the Inner Hebrides. The distillery, which lies on the South Eastern shore of Loch Indaal, is one of the oldest in Scotland and is said to have been established in 1779. The distillery is owned by Beam Suntory who also own the Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch, Laphroaig and Ardmore distilleries and produce the Teacher's Highland Cream blend.
