Far North Bødalen Bourbon is this Minnesota estate-distillery's first bourbon whiskey. It is made from a mash bill of 60% heirloom corn, 35% Hazlet rye and 5% malt barley and was matured in Minnesota oak for 18 months. Bødalen (BO-da-lynn) is named for a Norwegian valley on the edge of a massive glacier. Available at the distillery only.

Nose: Nose offers aromas of toffee, sweet corn and orange zest.
Palate: Peppery and vegetal, with a woodsy depth.
Finish: The finish is surprisingly long, rich and persistent.
