Lazzaroni Maraschino Liqueur

Lazzaroni Maraschino liqueur is made by the same company responsible for the definitive Italian amaretto liqueur. It is made from the Marasca cherry and famous in cocktail circles for its dry, light taste. Because the cherry pits are also ground and included in the mixture, it achieves a dry, bitter taste.

Lazzaroni Maraschino Liqueur Tasting Notes

Nose: The initial aroma is tremendously ripe and alluring in its true-to-the-fruit-source manner; following aeration the aroma changes to a more cherry preserves leaning than fresh-picked.

Palate: The palate entry is properly sweet, ripe and cherry-like; at midpalate, the taste profile becomes more Marasca cherry in nature than just-off-the-tree.

Finish: Finishes well and vibrantly fruity.
