Valentine Distilling Co. has added a rye whiskey to its award-winning Mayor Pingree family. The Mayor Pingree Rye Whiskey is a distinct, 90-Proof beverage that is sure to contribute excellence to the collection of Valentine products.
Mayor Pingree Orange Label Rye Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Freshwater cattail stalks, hayloft and caramel candy.
Palate: Round, smooth and viscous front bridges sleekly into an abrupt, keynote rye-spice finish.
Finish:
Mayor Pingree Red Label Bourbon, according to those behind it, is a “small batch blend” of Valentine Distilling’s best four and five year old, 53 gallon sized bourbon barrels (consisting of four separate mash bills) that were distilled and aged in Ferndale, Michigan. It is bottled at 94 proof and non-chill filtered in nature, and prior to being put to barrel was triple pot distilled by Valentine head distiller Justin Aden.
