Saint Liberty Bertie's Bear Gulch Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Bertie’s Bear Gulch Bourbon honors legendary bootlegger Bertie Brown who homesteaded in Fergus County, Montana back in the 1920’s. Their Bertie’s Bear Gulch Bourbon is unique – 70% corn, 27.5% rye, 2.5% malted barley, not your typical sweet bourbon. Aged for at least 4 years, triple pot distilled and is a magical blend of 53 gallon #3 char barrels and 30 gallon #4 char. They bring their Texas-crafted bourbon to proof using Rocky Mountain waters using the same pure water in Montana that Bertie used almost 100 years ago.

Nose: Earthy notes, tanned leather, stonefruit, dried apricot and molasses.

Palate: Slightly smokey, caramelized vanilla, apricots and a hint of brown sugar.

Finish: Dried fruits off the spicy rye. Balanced and smooth.
