Following distillation, Quint cuts the “heads” and “tails” of the distillate and pours the “hearts” into bespoke southern white oak casks with a medium char.
Yahara Bay V Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: Aroma of fruit, ripe berries and banana nut bread.
Palate: Flavors of toasted wood, port, rich fudge and tangerines.
Finish:The finish, slightly sweet, has hints of vanilla, cake icing, maple syrup and nutmeg.
Distillery Information
The small size of the casks allows for more contact between the bourbon and the oak as compared to traditional casks, resulting in a whiskey that has a golden amber hue, along with strong notes of toffee and toasted vanilla.
