      Detailed Description

Bright berry, jam and tar aromas in this one, turning to Indian spices.

        Reviews:

        • Wine Advocate: Cerequio is the vineyard which, from the very start, made Roberto Voerzio a name to reckon with, and the 2000 Barolo Cerequio confirms that this is the cru which systematically gives him the best fruit. Warm, potent, and very expansive notes of red fruit, licorice, smoke, and caramel announce that this is a wine of superior concentration. The packed and supple palate, sweet, mouth-filling and tongue-coating, plush and deep personality only confirms this initial impression.
        • James Suckling: Bright berry, jam and tar aromas in this one, turning to Indian spices. Full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe fruit and chewy tannins. Velvety. This is a modern, superclean wine. Long finish, yet tightly wound like a golf ball.
