Reviews:
- Antonio Galloni: Plum, cherry, spice and ginger meld into a deep core of Pinot fruit that continues to flesh out with a bit of time and aeration. There's terrific depth, density and creaminess here.
Producer Information
Polisot, in the Cote de Bar, in Champagne, the Domaine Marie Courtin is born on a small hill. The Domaine has only 2.5 hectares with a total production that does not exceed 20 thousand bottles per year. The family-run property is led by Dominique Moreau, who dedicated the brand to his grandmother Marie Courtin. Stubborn and eccentric winemaker, Dominique immediately embraced the principles of biodynamics for the management of her vineyards, which are composed of Kimmeridgian soil, with east / south-east exposure, transmitting to her Champagnes an excellent structure with an important minerality and sapidity. As in the vineyard, Dominique also uses biodynamic practices in the cellar, using only indigenous yeasts for fermentation, selected directly from their vineyards. In his Champagnes we find great integrity, they are refined and essential wines, without any type of dosage, produced by a maniacal vinification. Champagne for true enthusiasts.
