The estate specializes in the local wines of this region, specifically Falerio dei Colli Ascolani and Rosso Piceno. The company was established in 1984 by Ercole and Angela Velenosi, as they bottled their first vintage of Falerio Velenosi. This white wine is a blend of local Passerina and Pecorino grape varieties with the more well-known Trebbiano. All of the grapes for this wine are sourced from Velenosi's Ascoli Piceno vineyards, planted on sandy soils at altitudes averaging 200m (650ft) above sea level. Harvest is carried out by hand and the wine is fermented for 10 days in stainless steel vats before aging and bottling. This original Falerio wine has now been joined by several other white wines. These include a second Falerio wine, Vigna Solaria, as well as a selection of varietal Verdicchio, Chardonnay, Pecorino and Passerina wines.
