It produces a range of varietal and blended wines, primarily from classic Bordeaux varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The estate was founded in 1983 by Tony and Herta Peju, who today run the winery with their daughters, Lisa and Ariana Peju. Peju is perhaps best known for its unique architecture which includes a 50ft (15m) tower surrounded by abundant gardens. It is located near to iconic Napa estates like Inglenook, Beaulieu and Robert Mondavi. Peju owns numerous vineyards in the Napa Valley, Sonoma and Mendocino counties.
