      Producer Information

Anne & Pierre Boisson (formerly also grouped with production by Domaine Boisson-Vadot) is a family wine estate based in Meursault, in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune subregion. The winery is best-known for its range of Chardonnay-based wines (in keeping with their home town) but also produces numerous labels under wider regional titles, including Auxey-Duresses, Monthélie rouge and Bourgogne Aligoté. These are produced in the cellars of the Boisson family, who have been leading winemakers in Meursault for over two centuries. The 10-hectare (25-acre) estate is run by brother-and-sister team Pierre and Anne Boisson, although wines bearing the Domaine Boisson-Vadot title were produced by their father, Bernard Boisson-Vadot. The Boissons do not use fertilisers or pesticides – instead ploughing controls the weeds and aerates the soil. All labels use the same winemaking methods that are geared towards expressing terroir and the quality of the old-vine vineyard parcels. The top Chardonnay wines see no more than 30 percent new oak. The portfolio is underpinned by the Bourgogne Blanc, produced from vineyards within Meursault's borders. The estate also makes several single-vineyard village wines from lieux-dits in Meursault as well as a village Meursault. Boisson-Vadot also released a wine from the Meursault Genevrières Premier Cru. Boisson makes a tiny amount of Bourgogne Aligoté from vineyards within Meursault's borders, as well as small amounts of Bourgogne Rouge, Auxey-Duresses and a Pommard. Wines are labeled as either Anne Boisson or Domaine Pierre Boisson.
