      Producer Information

Armand Heitz, based in Chassagne-Montrachet, only entered the Burgundian wine scene in 2013, after two years of experimentation to consolidate the knowledge he had acquired during his studies in Switzerland, taking over the historic family vineyards that had been leased for many years to Maison Drouhin. Armand took over the vineyards little by little and, together with Ludovic Pierrot, long-time oenologist at Domaine Leflaive, set out to make a Burgundy wine that is aromatic and expressive, revealing a unique terroir, in the tradition of classical winemaking. For Armand Heitz himself, the ideal of a Burgundy wine is the elite Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Ramonet, which are the winemaker's path: biodynamic, nature-friendly viticulture, low yields, moderate use of oak barrels (15-25% new oak), and the expression of terroir. Wine style. Expressive, with exceptional balance, enjoyable only on release and fully revealing the noble origin of the vineyard. The white wine has a clear minerality, a full texture, expressive, pure aromas with well integrated oak character. The red is aromatic, with fine and smooth tannins, juicy and with a predominant red berry character. The winery owns prestigious vineyards that have been acquired since 1857, including one of the best, Meursault 1er Cru Perrières, the pride of the winery, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Têtes de Clos, as well as the Grand Cru Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet, and the best of the Grand Cru of Pommard (1er Cru Les Rugiens) and the Grand Cru equivalent of Volnay (1er Cru Les Taillepieds).
