Light straw yellow, bright. Complex, fine and persistent perlage. Delicate but inviting nose. Shows notes of apple, white peach, lychee and a delicate, pleasant note of white flowers. Fruity and mineral on the palate. Full-bodied and long, with lively carbonation.
Producer Information
Bortolomiol is a sparkling wine producer in the center of the appellation zone of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. The company was founded by Giuliano Bortolomiol in the 1940s, though the family has been involved in wine production since at least 1760. Guiliano was the first producer to make a Prosecco Brut. Today the winery is run by sisters Maria Elena, Giuliana and Luisa Bortolomiol. The range of sparkling wines is led by the Grande Cuvée del Fondatore Motus Vitae, an homage to Giuliano. It is a Rive (single vineyard) vintage wine made from the San Pietro di Barbozza property. It is a Brut Nature which spends ten months on its lees.
