Detailed Description

This single cask comes to us from family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. Specially selected and bottled for the Heritage series in the Platinum Old & Rare Selection, this expression was distilled at Braes of Glenlivet, now Braeval distillery, in Speyside in 1989. Matured for three full decades, it has been bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.7% abv free from all chill filtration and artificial colouring. Just 236 bottles have been produced of this limited edition.

Nose: This medium gold whisky has a faintly nutty nose, with notes of peach, strawberry and Turkish bazaar.

Palate: The palate is rich and creamy with milk chocolate, stewed fruits, and a pleasant maltiness.

Finish: The finish is long and lingering, with notes of dark fruit and sandalwood.

The Glenlivet distillery is a distillery near Ballindalloch in Moray, Scotland that produces single malt Scotch whisky. It is the oldest legal distillery in the parish of Glenlivet, and the production place of the Scottish whisky of the same name. It was founded in 1824 and has operated almost continuously since.
