Number 31 of Signatory's 100 Proof Editions is an eight-year-old single malt from Islay's Bunnahabhain distillery. The whisky matured in a host of first and second-fill oloroso sherry butts between 2016 and 2024 when it was bottled up at 57.1% ABV.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.

Palate: A very pleasant, rich and smooth taste in the mouth. Lovely texture.

Finish: Elegant long lasting aftertaste.

Distillery Information

Bunnahabhain was built in 1881 by the Greenless Brothers and is still the most northern distillery on the Isle of Islay. After the distillery was set up, a small town formed around the distillery. In 1930, Bunnahabhain had to close for a short time. In 1963, production was increased from two to four stills.
