Combier Doppelt Kummel Extra, double cumin extra, is a recreation of a traditional liqueur, using the distillery's original 19th century recipe. Using the finest botanicals, spirit and pure sugar, the result is an excitingly aromatic liqueur. Combier have revived this heritage spirit for a new millenium.

Combier Kummel Liqueur Tasting Notes

Nose: An aromatic nose of caraway, cumin and aniseed.

Palate: Fennel and liquorish dominate the palate.

Finish: The finish is refreshing with clean anise notes.

Distillery Information

Combier is the oldest working distillery in the Loire Valley. It was created in 1834 by Jean Baptiste Combier. In the beginning Jean Baptiste was a confectioner and chocolate maker but, he used to additonally make liqueurs to fill the insides of his sweets. He discovered that his liqueurs were so appreciated by customers that he decided to stop making candy and only produce liqueurs. The Combier Distillery remains on the original land he bought to build his factory.
