10 kilometers west of Reims, Ecueil is a historical village for pinot noir, a fine pinot that was famous in the 1960s, while the surrounding villages were planted mainly with meunier," explains Frédéric Savart. He took over his father's vineyard with passion and produces young, aromatic, fruity, tense and nuanced champagnes in the varietal expression.
