Duke Grand Cru Founder's Reserve Bourbon Whiskey

Master blender has sought out the rarest and finest French Oak barrels to honor and enhance the great flavors of this aged bourbon. These barrels have gracefully aged some of the most stunning 98-100 point scoring single vineyard California Cult Cabernets. Barrels represent a very key element to the evolution of flavor. The age, tight grains found in the French Oak, originating from centuries old forests, and, the perfect level of toasting ultimately provides a canvas rarely explored.

Nose: Charred oak, roasted nuts, hints of vanilla, caramel, and nutmeg.

Palate: Mid-palate provides warm pepper spice and toasted nuts, finishing with a deeply satisfying robust sweetness in perfect combination.

Finish: Finish is bold and spicy, with a hint of cloves and ginger.

Distillery Information

Sitting on 26 acres on the banks of the Ohio River, O. Z. Tyler was the ideal location for us to develop the perfect relationship of our aged bourbons and ryes and the finest French Oak wine barrels which have aged some of the greatest Cult California Cabernets. An ideal combination, our French Oak barrels have an incredible genesis, produced from Cooperages that have been making barrels since 1932 in Cognac, with historical documents evidencing making barrels in the region as far back as 1652.
