This limited edition Reposado is a limited edition release created by Graciela González, fourth generation distiller, and daughter of El Mayor Master Distiller Rodolfo González. Produced using estate-grown agave, this Reposado is matured for nine months in French oak ex-chardonnay barrels. There are fewer than 5,000 bottles available.
El Mayor French Oak Chardonnay Cask Finished Tequila Tasting Notes
Nose: Cooked agave notes on the nose, followed by soft notes of oak and vanilla, hints of spices and fruity touches.
Palate: The palate is smooth, sweet and oaky, with cooked agave.
Finish: Vanilla notes at the end followed by a smooth, sweet finish.
Distillery Information
The distillery, DGL Destiladores (Destiladora González Luxco), is located just outside the city of Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco – a prime location for the superior agave used in these premium tequilas. DGL denys the decades-old partnership in making tequila between the Lux and González families.
