The drive is the expansion of expressive Burgundy wines and the cultivation of small terraces and steep slopes that date back to Roman times and for which Franz Keller fought during the land consolidation at the Kaiserstuhl. Developing wines in a particularly straightforward way, as the perfect accompaniment to good food, has always been one of the central ideas of vinification. Environmentally friendly, gentle viticulture with organic fertilization, exclusively mechanical tillage and greening of the vines for natural humus supply are just as much a part of the principles of work in the vineyards at the VDP.Weingut Franz Keller as the reduction in yield through thinning out, green harvesting and also through grape division.
