GlenAllachie 2008 #586 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This Speyside single malt was distilled at GlenAllachie in 2008 and matured in a single Marsala wine hogshead for a full 10 years before bottling in August 2019 at a cask strength of 57.4% abv. Released as part of the second batch of UK exclusive single casks from the distillery, only 283 bottles have been produced, each one individually numbered.

Nose: Orchard fruits and pineapple with cinnamon and a hint of mint.

Palate: Rich heather honey and raisins with orange peel, toffee and apricots.

Finish: Sweet cinnamon lingering on.

Distillery Information

Glenallachie is a malt whisky distillery on Speyside at Aberlour founded in 1967. It has mainly produced whisky for blends. Under Chivas ownership it released 2 official bottlings at cask strength, one of 16 and one of 18 years old. A new core range of 10, 12, 18 and 25 year old whisky was released in 2018 under the new ownership, as well as additional single cask releases.
