An 8 year old indie bottling of Glenallachie's tasty Speyside single malt, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! The label shows a group of fish playing a rock show in a valley. Perhaps a reference to Glenallachie's name, which means 'Valley of the Rocky Place', or perhaps the Boutique-y bunch just thought it was a cool label and it's all just a big coincidence... Could be either, really. Batch 2 is a release of 231 bottles. ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Glenallachie 8 Year Old (That Boutique-y Company) Scotch Whisky | 500ML Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity esters lead, with a resonating note of fragrant malt. There’s a balance of sweet and savoury, with vanilla nougat, milky coffee and salted chocolate. A rush of complex nuttiness rises, with toasted almonds, peanut brittle and roasted chestnuts. Subtle smoke and a good whack of cinnamon are a persistent aroma.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: Quite rich and lovely smooth texture.
