Hazelburn 12 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Taking its name from a Campbell town distillery of yesteryear, Hazelburn is a triple distilled malt that was first produced at Spring bank distillery in 1997. This 12-year-old expression is a rich and fruity make that is produced with air-dried barley and bottled at 46% abv.

Nose: Rich sherry tones and sweet chocolate with apricot, marmalade and almonds.

Palate: Elegant and smooth with a malty and fruity character balanced with oak, figs and nuts.

Finish: A fruity sweetness lingering.

Distillery Information

Hazelburn Distillery was a distillery in Campbell town, Scotland, which was in operation between approximately 1825 and 1925. In 1886, it had 22 employees and produced 192,000 gallons of whisky per year, making it the largest distillery in the town. The distillery was bought by Mitchell & Co. in 1920, but shut down in 1926. Mitchell & Co. owned two other distilleries, including Spring bank Distillery. Since 2005 Spring bank Distillery bottles a whisky called Hazelburn Single Malt.
