An impressive rum from Edinburgh's Holyrood distillery, blending three spirits from three less traditional rum-producing countries to create a delicious union of flavour. A combination of single estate rum from the Philippines, pot still rum from Ghana, and cane juice rum from Vietnam result in a cleverly rounded profile, and certainly ought to have rum enthusiasts intrigued.

Nose: Aromas of overripe bananas with hints of nutty maple breakfast.

Palate: Juicier tones emerge along with wood spice, citrus and stone fruits running through the centre.

Finish: Great elegance and length on the finish.

Distillery Information

The Holyrood Distillery in Edinburgh was founded in 2019 by David Robertson, former master distiller at The Macallan, and Rob Carpenter, a Canadian lawyer, and founder of the Canadian branch of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It was the first single malt distillery in Edinburgh since 1925. As is customary for new ventures, Holyrood produces a range of unaged spirits including gin as well as doing contract distilling while we patiently wait for the release of its first single malt whisky.
