It's the same great blend of three Spirits — two rye-based and one wheat-based with the same aging profile (two Bourbons aged two years, one aged three) and non-chill-filtered. The barrels have a #4 char and the heads have a #2 char.

Penelope Bourbon Barrel Strength limited release provides signature four grain balanced flavor profile uncut, straight from the barrel. Penelope Bourbon Barrel Strength is blended from three bourbon mash bills that are all aged between 2-3 years in new American oak barrels. The barrels were hand selected and blended into a single batch in order to create this unique offering. Barrel Strength is non chill-filtered and proofed at 116.6.

Nose: Scents of brown sugar, caramel, and baking spices create a pleasing aroma, though a trace of ethanol teases the bourbon’s youth.
Palate: The palate brings more brown sugar along with blackberries. The intensity ramps up on the sip with baking spice crescendoing towards the end and leading into the finish, where it quickly tapers off.
Finish: Sweet vanilla, caramel, brown sugar, and butterscotch linger.
