Redemption 10 Year Old Barrel Proof Straight Rye Whiskey is distilled from a mash of 95% premium rye and 5% barley malt. Whiskey ages in a barrel. As the years pass its exposed to the heat and humidity of the summer and the bitter cold of winter. The whiskey in the barrel expands and contracts and all the time is interacting with the char and the oak of the barrel.

Nose: Spicy rye, caramel and oak.

Palate: Sweet cereal grains and bitter apple.

Finish: Oily and warming, with some faint hints of vanilla accompanying even more spicy rye and oak notes.

Bardstown Barrel Selections, the parent company of Redemption, was founded by bourbon industry veterans Michael Kanbar and Dave Schmier.
