A bottle released in very limited numbers for the Single Malt Whisky Society Japan; SMWS 127.37 ‘Dinosaurs Dancing to Stravinsky’. An exceptional example of a whisky from the closed Scottish distillery Port Ellen. It’s huge, but it’s also quite complex for a young peat monster.

Nose: The aromas have alight fruit notes with malt and spice.

Palate: Smooth and soft with good sweetness and winter spice.

Finish: Finish is long, spicy and smooth.

Distillery Information

Port Charlotte was a Scotch whisky distillery on the island of Islay, off the west coast of Scotland. The distillery was based in the village of Port Charlotte on the grounds of the former Lochindaal Distillery 2 miles southwest from the Bruichladdich distillery.
