Reviews:
- Allen Meadows: The aromatics here are completely different with complex, pure, mostly red pinot fruit notes and a subtle touch of new wood and flavors that offer completely integrated, sophisticated and ripe tannins. This is very cool and reserved in personality yet the breed and class are obvious.

Producer Information
In 1825, Pierre Faiveley founded the firm that now bears the name Domaine Faiveley. At that time, the firm was a classic nĂŠgociant, buying and selling wine. From generation to generation, with a strong commitment to the quality of Burgundyâs patrimony, the Faiveley family has purchased vineyards and is among the largest owners of classified vineyards in the CĂ´te de Nuits, CĂ´te de Beaune and CĂ´te Chalonnaise. Their holdings total 331 acres, of which, 30 acres are grands crus and 67 acres are premiers crus. The objective of the family today, led by Erwan Faiveley, is to increase the firmâs holdings of great vineyards so that there can be complete control from vine to bottle across the entire range of wines. Along with this focus, Erwan Faiveley has renovated the Domaines cellarsâin both Nuits-Saints-George and Mercureyâwhich now boast state of the art barrel presses, custom-designed wooden vats, and among the finest air-cured oak casks available in the world.
