      Reviews:

      • Wine Enthusiast: Spearmint, black-skinned berry, blue flower and new leather aromas lead the way along with whiffs of menthol. Tight and taut, the elegant, structured palate delivers juicy black cherry, crushed raspberry, wild herbs and white pepper alongside assertive, close-grained tannins.
      • James Suckling: Aromas of rose, cherry, strawberry and white pepper draw you in, while vibrant acidity and a lacy texture carry the fruit flavors, adding tobacco and earth details. A solid base of tannins provides support.

      Producer Information

Adriano Marco E Vittorio is a family-run wine producer based in the Piedmontese province of Langhe. The estate has been home to the Adriano family for generations, and today comprises 27 hectares (67 acres) of land planted to Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscato Bianco. The vineyards are split between the areas surrounding San Rocco Seno d'Elvio and Neive, and consist of four separate plots: Mottura, Avoglieri Argantino, Sanadaive and Basarin. Adriano makes several single-vineyard Barbaresco expressions from the Sanadaive and Basarin plots, including a riserva. The remaining red wine portfolio is made up of Barbera d'Alba, Dolcetto d'Alba, Langhe Freisa and Langhe Nebbiolo. The estate also produces a small series of white wines including a Moscato d'Asti and a Langhe Sauvignon Blanc. The Adriano family's winemaking expertise has its roots in the early part of the 20th Century. Since the 1980s, Marco and Vittorio Adriano have taken on the responsibility of managing the family business together with their wives and children.
