        Reviews:

        • Wine Advocate: This small domaine's 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape features delicate herbal shadings set against a backdrop of cherries and raspberries. A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, all matured in older wood, it's full-bodied but airy, with silky tannins and a decent finish. While not overly concentrated, it's a pretty, charming wine for drinking over the next decade or so.
        • James Suckling: Plenty of bright red-berry fruit with wild-herb freshness that neatly complements that. Medium-bodied, in the context of this very warm vintage, with moderate tannins supporting the rather generous finish. From organically grown grapes.

        Producer Information

Porte Rouge is a small estate whose 2.5 hectares of vines flourish under the bright sun, their roots anchored in beautiful river stones. Syrah and Grenache grapes grow on six different lots, each variety offering its specific characteristics. Porte Rouge produces a small number of bottles: between 8,000 and 10,000 bottles a year, depending on the harvest.
The wine cellar is located in the village. The ancient structure was directly carved into the rock and provides ideal aging conditions.
