A thousand-year-old company that introduces innovation. An historical winery and olive oil producing company which has always aimed at quality and at his native grape varieties : Primitivo, Negroamaro and Black Malvasia. The Guarinis have worked hard to make their typical Salento wines being appreciated, concentrating especially on the IGT. At the beginning of the '90s , when very few knew of the existence of 'primitivo' and 'negroamaro' grapes and the people of Salento were almost ashamed to expose the name of their native vines, the Guarini family produced the first bottle of pure Primitivo, writing the name of the grape variety on the label. They did the same with their olive oil for which they always indicate the name of the historic varietals Cellina, Scorranese and Ogliarola, a real treasure of the territory. In 2005 the company started the conversion of the whole producing system into organic, in order to respect more and more the environment, the people working in it and the final consumers. The wines of the organic era, as the negroamaro Nativo and the rosé Campo di Mare, are the forerunners of the a new business philosophy that , from 2005 cultivate the lands and from 2008 produce wines which are organic certified, but still using the old cisterns dug in the rock.
