The 2020 Pursued by Bear Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a deep, intense colour and presents abundant notes of wild blackberry, cocoa powder, and warm vanilla spice. Subtle hints of black plums and ripe, dark cherries contribute to a layered complexity on the palate, where fine-grained tannins and well-balanced acidity provide a luxuriously textured mouthfeel, culminating in a long and expressive finish.
Producer Information
Pursued by Bear is a wine producer based in Walla Walla, in the US Pacific Northwest and established by US actor Kyle MacLachlan and winemaker Eric Dunham in 2005. All bar the Twin Bear (which is released under the Walla Walla AVA title) are produced under the Columbia Valley designation. MacLachlan, who hails from Yakima, established the brand in 2005, alongside high-profile regional winemaker Eric Dunham (who died in 2014). Daniel Wampfler took over from Dunham as winemaker in 2008.
