Abreojos Reposado Tequila

The Abreojos brand is based upon the "little fishing village" of Punta Abreojos in Baja California and translates as "open eyes" (nicely displayed on the label with a long-lashed eyeball). It is distilled by Destiladora del Valle in Jalisco, Mexico known for making several different boutique brands of tequila. The agave is estate-grown, free of all pesticides and fertilizers, and allowed to mature to between 10 and 12 years for optimal flavor.

Abreojos Reposado Tequila Tasting Notes

Nose: Olive brine, roasted bell peppers and a hint of buttery vanilla are the main aromas from this lowland tequila.

Palate: Roasted agave flavors are moderated by the oak aging which also adds some caramel and a slight bitterness.

Finish: Very smooth and fulfilling with a lengthy finish.
