Detailed Description

This single malt comes to us from Campbeltown's famed indie bottler, Cadenhead's. Distilled in 1993 at Ardbeg on Islay, this expression was matured in a bourbon hogshead for more than two decades before bottling at a natural cask strength of 53.2% abv in July 2015. Just 210 bottles were filled, each one free from any chill filtration or colouring.

Distillery Information

Ardbeg Distillery, which is situated on the southern coast of Islay, was founded in 1815 by the MacDougall family. Once the peated barley arrives at the distillery, it is milled and mashed with water sourced from Loch Uigeadail, which is situated approximately 3 miles away from the distillery.
