Detailed Description

More awesomeness here from Ardnamurchan! You might be wondering what happened with the name on this one, did the folks at Ardnamurchan forget to add all the usual numbers to the end? Perhaps we got distracted mid-sentence by a colourful bird flying past, or a robot vacuum cleaner buzzing around our feet? The answer is simple, this is no mistake! Going forward, Ardnamurchan's AD/ bottlings will no longer have all those confusing digits. The whisky remains unchanged though, following its traditional combination of 50% peated and 50% unpeated malt, matured in a combination of 65% bourbon and 35% sherry casks.

Ardnamurchan AD/ | 700ML Tasting Notes

Nose: Lemon zest and fresh peels welcome the way with coastal breeze salinity and dense peat.

Palate: Crisp green apple and pear rest beside creamy wafts of oaken vanilla and roasted barley. Herbaceous notes of seaweed and vegetal peat bring a dry, smoky edge.

Finish: Plenty of citrus on the finish, with more zesty lemon and candied orange. The harbourside peat notes continue, softened by earthen vanilla, and buttery toasted oak.

Distillery Information

The Ardnamurchan distillery produces both a smoky Whisky and a non-smoky Whisky. The Adelphi Distillery, the parent company of Ardnamurchan, sources rare single casks of selected Malt Whisky as the Adelphi Selection.
On every bottle of Ardnamurchan Single Malt there is a QR code that can be used to trace the supply chain of the respective bottle. The distillery uses so-called 'blockchain technology' for this purpose. This allows the customer to call up various information, such as the fermentation period, which malt was selected or which casks were used for the maturation.
