Assay Thai Lime & Lemongrass Gin | 700ML

The folks at Assay have created this zesty gin as their first limited edition of 2022! It's a particularly seasonal spirit made for summer sipping, packing in fresh Thai makrut limes as well as regular ol' limes, along with lemongrass, makrut lime leaves, tamarind, galangal, Thai sweet basil, and pink peppercorns. Whew! We're looking forward to this in a G&T garnished with fresh basil and chilli.

Distillery Information

Five spirit lovers came together after attending a glut of spirit tastings at The Commercial Inn, Chapeltown, in Sheffield, and decided they would learn how to make their own boozy creations. They founded the Sheffield Distillery and gained permission from the Sheffield Assay Master, an organisation that has assured quality in the city since 1773. The vodka and gin made at this distillery carry the ‘Assay’ name and the Sheffield Assay Mark. Everything is made onsite where it all began at The Commercial Inn, in a custom-built distillery situated in the pub’s beer garden. The expressions are distilled slowly in a hand-hammered copper pot still, and every bottle is labelled, corked, and wax-dipped by hand too.
