Cihuatán Indigo is their award-winning entry-level expression that draws its inspiration from Tlaloc, the Mayan god of rain. Traditionally, the god has been linked to the color blue and the indigo flower. The rum has spent 8 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels before being bottled at 80 proof. It's a versatile spirit that is suited for enjoying neat, on the rocks, or in classic rum cocktails.

Nose: Rich notes of vanilla and caramel

Palate: Cappuccino, dark chocolate, hazelnut, dulce de leche, and lemongrass

Finish: Smooth with a lingering sweetness

Distillery Information

The Licoreria Cihuatán is the only distillery in the country to produce quality rum with cane cultivated exclusively in the country sugar and has worked in the famous refinery "Ingenio La Cabaña" which has more than a century of history their back, he has played a key role in the development of the surrounding community and traditional, typical culture of the area. In this case, it is a complete control of the production from the plant to bottling rum. Cihuatán distillery is deeply linked to the territory actually, in fact, part of the revenue is used to finance archaeological excavations site of the same name, unfortunately interrupted by lack of funds.
