Detailed Description

Citadelle Bajan Edition is a limited gin inspired by the flavors and rum-making traditions of Barbados. It begins with Citadelle’s French gin base and is given additional character through maturation in Barbados rum casks. The result combines classic juniper and citrus with tropical fruit, vanilla, spice and gentle oak.

Nose: Juniper, tropical fruit, vanilla, citrus peel and soft oak.

Palate: Fresh citrus and juniper with ripe tropical fruit, vanilla, warm spice and subtle rum sweetness.

Finish: Smooth and warming with lingering tropical fruit, vanilla, gentle spice and light oak.

Distillery Information

Citadelle Gin is produced by Maison Ferrand, the French spirits company founded by Alexandre Gabriel and best known for its Cognac and rum production. Citadelle Gin was first created in 1996 at Château de Bonbonnet in the Cognac region, where Maison Ferrand developed a distinctive approach to gin using a large selection of botanicals. The brand has since expanded into a broad range of expressions, including cask-aged and botanical-focused releases. Citadelle Bajan Edition brings the French gin-making tradition together with Barbados rum influences.
