Craigellachie 2008 11 Year Old - Old Malt Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky

This cracking single cask expression comes to us from renowned family-run indie bottler Hunter Laing & Co. This Speyside single malt was distilled in January 2008 and matured for 11 years in a single wine cask before being bottled in September 2019 as part of the Old Malt Cask series. Bottled at a preferred strength of 50% abv, only 161 bottles have been produced.

Nose: Spicy, red fruits, tobacco and brown sugar.

Palate: Rich, mouthfilling, caramel sauce on Christmas pudding.

Finish: Long, sweet and satisfying with lingering toffee apple.

Distillery Information

The Craigellachie distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Aberlour, Banffshire near the village of Craigellachie at the centre of the Speyside whisky producing area of Scotland. The name Craigellachie means 'rocky hill' and refers to the cliff that overlooks the Spey across from The Macallan distillery.
