Tequila Reposado starts off life as Blanco. It's then rested in lightly charred, new American oak barrels to create a more complex and well-rounded character uniquely Espolon. This one begs to be shared in cocktails that deserve even greater tequila character.

Nose: Spicy with a hint of caramel fudge.

Palate: Bold, round palate, medium to full bodied with a rich roasted agave; sweet tropical fruit, vanilla and brown spices.

Finish: Long spicy finish.

Distillery Information

The first came from two traditional icons of Mexico: the rooster, a symbol of national pride, and the revolutionary Mexican artist Jos Guadalupe Posada. When Cirilo met a Mexican entrepreneur in 1995, he knew he had found a partner who understood him, who knew he could transform the acoustic hum of generations-old traditions into electric surround, sound. Everything that he had learned over the years, in the daily grind of every day, was simply a means to his end. Cirilo was ready for the adventure. Ramon and Guadalupe could feel his restlessness seething, so they gave him a push. In 1996, Cirilo began building Casa San Nicolas in the heart of Jalisco, where the tradition of tequila production flourished The natural environment made it the perfect place to create a tequila? that embodies the essence of the land and Mexican culture. It was supposed to be a workshop where art and science could coexist in D I harmony. Having leaned al the ins and outs of tealia;production, Citilo khow how to carry on a long tradition but also rely on his vision, applying his unique and revolutionary ideas. He soon began producing a tequila that embodied the spirit of Mexico: a spirit full of music, color and pride.
