This is an exceptional 100% cane juice rum from Guadeloupe’s Montebello distillery (carrere). Distilled in a column still and fully tropically aged 17 years a in ex-Bourbon barrel followed by a 4 years finish in a ex Jurançon wine barrel.

Nose: An expressive nose of candied fruit and spices.

Palate: A palate endowed with great aromatic richness. Quince jam and vine peach marmalade complement a multitude of spices (nutmeg and cloves in particular), then there is a bit of bagasse with hints of honey.

Finish: A lingering finish on dried apricot and slightly damp wood. A nice slap with this rum with a remarkable aromatic concentration.

Based in Mougins, the capital of the culinary arts in the south of France, our family business has settled its barrels in the 50-year-old owned family house.
