Part of the initial relaunch of GlenAllachie's core range following Billy Walker (formerly of BenRiach) purchasing the distillery in 2017, the 25 Year Old is the oldest of the four released (also including a 10 Year Old Cask Strength, a 12 Year Old and an 18 Year Old). It was matured in American oak, Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso casks for quarter of a century before being bottled at 48% ABV.

This limited edition single malt from The GlenAllachie has been matured for a quarter of a century in a combination of American oak, virgin oak and sherry casks. Specially selected by Master Distiller, Billy Walker, just 1,000 bottles have been produced at the slightly higher strength of 48% abv.
Glenallachie 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Sweet spices, orange maramalade and sultanas.
Palate: Sultana cake and pineapple with dark chocolate and Christmas spices.
Finish: Marmalade and sweet spice lingering.
Distillery Information
Glenallachie is a malt whisky distillery on Speyside at Aberlour founded in 1967. It has mainly produced whisky for blends. Under Chivas ownership it released 2 official bottlings at cask strength, one of 16 and one of 18 years old. A new core range of 10, 12, 18 and 25 year old whisky was released in 2018 under the new ownership, as well as additional single cask releases.
