A very rare and interesting bottle this. Glenmorangie's entire consignment of Swamp Oak bottles was lost in transit on their way to the US, but by some miracle, the bottles were located and returned years later. The distillery did the good thing and released them back in 2005.

Nose: It has very pleasant and lovely aromas.
Palate: This is extremely rich and very balanced in flavour.
Finish: The finish is quite unique, rich and long lasting.
Distillery Information
A former distillery manager, William Matheson, acquired the farm in 1843 and converted the Morangie brewery to a distillery, equipped with two-second hand gin stills. He later renamed the distillery Glenmorangie. The distillery was purchased by its main customer, the Leith firm Macdonald and Muir, in 1918.
