Detailed Description

The Rum of the Ancient Mariner is a Caribbean dark rum made from a blend of Jamaican and Barbadian rums. It is matured using the traditional Petites Eaux technique, developing a rich profile of muscovado sugar, dark chocolate, vanilla, dried fruit and oak. The rum is inspired by Iron Maiden's song “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” from the 1984 album Powerslave.

Nose: Muscovado sugar, dark chocolate, vanilla, soft oak, subtle arrack and marzipan.

Palate: Vanilla fudge, dried figs, muscovado sugar, dark chocolate and fine oak with gentle sweetness.

Finish: Long and warming, with dark chocolate, dried fruit, muscovado sugar, gentle oak spice and a touch of citrus zest.
