Janneau VS Grand Armagnac has been produced for 700 years making it the oldest spirit in France (possibly the world). It's one of three French "Appellation Contrôlée" brandies (others being Cognac and Calvados)" The worlds most awarded Armagnac" International spirit competitions have awarded Janneau more medals than any other producer.

Janneau VS Grand Armagnac Liqueur Tasting Notes

Nose: Kirsch, cherry, stewed plum and cider apple fruit with floral violet, clove, nutmeg, hazelnut and freshly sawn cedar wood.

Palate: Slightly sweet and very fruity (prunes and dry fruit) with drying oak tannins, tobacco, vanilla, quince and kirsch.

Finish: Peppery spice explodes in the prune and stewed plum finish with tobacco and dry oak. Light, fruity and quaffable.

Distillery Information

Founded by Pierre Etienne Janneau in 1851 at Condom in Armagnac, four generations of the Janneau family have followed, passing down the secret of Grand Armagnac from father to son. Maison Janneau is one of the main producers that carries out the distillation, ageing and bottling of its production fully in the region of origin, the AOC Armagnac. Maison Janneau as of today is home of one of the most important production plant and storage facility of the Armagnac region and is a leading brand in the Armagnac sector producing exclusively Super Premium Quality Armagnac.
