Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 25 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Rhetoric Orphan Barrel is Diageo's special series of long-aged bourbon whiskeys aged since the early '90 to be released every year, allowing the master blenders and drinkers alike to explore and compare side-by-side the flavors imparted by each additional year the bourbon spends in wood.

The Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 25 Year Bourbon is the 6th release of this series and was debuted in 2014. This 25-year-old bourbon was made at the Bernheim Distillery and then matured at the warehouses of Stitzel-Weller Distillery.

With Diageo's impeccable bourbon whiskey distillation process, it's not a surprise that the Orphan Barrel Rhetoric 25 Year Bourbon Whiskey is proper, inviting, and distinctive all at the same time. It boasts of a leathery nose with pleasurable aromas of dark chocolate, cherries, grains, baking spices, honey, vanilla oak, and charred wood; while its poetic texture gives you nice fruitty, woody, spicy, and sweet sensations.

The Orphan Barrel Whiskey Co. was started to share barrels of delicious and rare whiskey, hidden away and nearly forgotten in the back of rickhouses and distilleries.
