Royal Brackla 8 Year Old 2014 North Star Spirits Single Malt Scotch Whisky | 700ML

Distilled in 2014, this single malt from Royal Brackla spent the next eight years maturing in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry barrel. The cask was opened by North Star Spirits, independently releasing a total of 272 bottles.

Nose: Dark cherry chocolate, cookie dough, and cacao are joined by poached stone fruits, marzipan, and vanilla cream.

Palate: Rich, chocolatey malt brings notes of Digestive biscuits (chocolate ones, obviously), with sweet, nutty maple, creamy fudge, and praline.

Finish: Robust oak and warm cocoa linger, with a sprinkling of nutmeg and burnt ginger biscuits.

Distillery Information

The Bacardi-owned Royal Brackla gained its regal prefix in 1835 when King William IV bestowed a Royal Warrant upon the distillery. It was the first distillery to attain such an accolade and the spirit was heralded accordingly as the ‘King’s own whisky’. Lying in blissful serenity in the Highlands, not far South of the town of Nairn, Brackla's life blood is the pure waters of the Cawdor Burn.
