Sagamore High Rye Bourbon is a Maryland-made bourbon built around a distinctive mash bill of 60% corn, 25% rye, and 15% malted rye. Aged for six years in new charred American white oak, it combines traditional bourbon sweetness with the pronounced spice and grain character associated with Sagamore’s rye heritage. Caramel, brown sugar, orchard fruit, vanilla, toasted nuts, and baking spice create a rich and layered profile.

Nose: Vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, toasted oak, orchard fruit, and light nutty notes.

Palate: Caramel, turbinado sugar, cherry, orchard fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, and rye spice with hints of toasted nuts.

Finish: Long and warming, with lingering rye spice, caramel, espresso, brown sugar, and toasted oak.

Sagamore Whiskey is a Maryland producer based in Baltimore, founded in 2013 with a mission centered on reviving and modernizing Maryland’s historic rye whiskey tradition. Its waterfront distillery began producing whiskey in 2017, with the company initially focused primarily on Maryland-style rye. High Rye Bourbon represents Sagamore’s first bourbon expression, combining its rye-focused expertise with a corn-led bourbon mash bill and grain-to-glass Maryland production.
