The mashbill used for Tarnished Truth High Rye Bourbon is 60% corn, 36% Rye, 4% malted barley, which is a much higher rye content than most other bourbons. Tarnished Truth distillery has been sourcing their bourbon from MGP.
Tarnished Truth (3 Year) High Rye Straight Bourbon Whiskey Tasting Notes
Nose: On the nose, a modest barrel char aroma.
Palate: The palate is quite soft and approachable, with red fruits followed by chewy grains, Bit-O-Honey, and buttered popcorn.
Finish: On the finish, it’s toasty wood notes that are the most prominent.
